I do have a locking diff, but it’s automatic. And oddly, for once I had TC/SC on. That said the locker could have had a hand in it... dunno how fast it reacts.

Yup. Corvette servo, a little tuning this summer and full throttle mean a 2nd gear upshift that can do... things. Add a small amount of corner for... brown things. Surprisingly this is the first time I’ve forgotten about it.

The opposite happened to me in the Crown Vic the other day. Apparently sometimes 4R70Ws just want to go from third to first, causing you to merge onto the highway like an absolute lunatic when the on-ramp is a bit slippery. Got a few honks and gestures for that.

In the quattro with DSG shifts its get wicked once in a while in snow but I just keep my foot in it until I have control and then slow down.
